KOSDAQ to retire 800 after breaking 920 in 16 years


The KOSDAQ traded for 4 trading days after setting a record of breaking the 920 mark in 16 years.

The company maintained its 900 consecutive trading days, but retreated to the previous day at 800, closing one week.


According to the Korea Exchange, the KOSDAQ closed 13.65 points (1.49 percent) lower at 899.47 in the first week of February.

The rise in US Treasury yields has had a negative impact on investment sentiment and has fallen to 800 on the first trading day of the week.

The surge in government bond yields could lead to capital movements between assets and to capital outflows in the stock market.


The yield on the US 10-year government bond rose to 2.79 percent on Thursday (January 1) and the yield on the 30-year government bond surpassed 3 percent for the first time since May last year.

The won / dollar exchange rate rose to 1080 won.


Foreigners and institutions in the Kosdaq market this week sold 777.9 billion won and 897.5 billion won, respectively.

On the other hand, individuals net bought 93.5 billion won.


Celltrion sold the largest number of foreigners in the KOSDAQ market at 386 billion won.

Followed by Celltrion Healthcare (219.2 billion won), Seoul Semiconductor (51.8 billion won), Com2uS (19.9 billion won) and CJ E & M (18.3 billion won).

On the contrary, net purchases were made by Pearl Avis (KRW16bn), Loen (KRW11.3bn), PSK (KRW10.1bn), Hugel (KRW9.7bn) and SK Materials (KRW9.6bn).


The agency sold the largest number of Pearl Abies (24.5 billion won). Viromed (23.3 billion won), Loen (18.2 billion won), Webzen (11.6 billion won) and Huyns (11.4 billion won) were also ranked in the selling.

In contrast, net buyers such as Celltrion (51.3 billion won), Paradise (18.8 billion won), Celltrion Healthcare (17.9 billion won), CJ E & M (14.7 billion won) and Estonia (13.1 billion won)


In the first week of February, the most stocks in the KOSDAQ market climbed 72.26% from the previous week due to SBI investment.

Followed by Ittimanvest (61.78%), SFA (57.53%), Leichem (54.46%) and iRiver (44.95%).


On the other hand, FutureChem fell the most in 23.44% during the same period.

Asta (-22.97%), Playwed (-19.23%), Genie music (-18.48%) and SCI evaluation information (-17.38%) were also followed.
